![]() Some weird shit later happens while you're down there- you encounter several 'warped' dredge that are warped by the darkness you encounter later on. Along the way, they pick up a Stonesinger (a Dredge mender basically) and you have a choice of taking it or leaving it. After defeating a corpse-possessing necromancer Sundr called 'Eyeless' (because she has no eyes), the Ravens and co can finally push for the surface. Bolverk and co are eventually ambushed by the Dredge and must fight through them in order to reach the above world again. Meanwhile, he awkwardly babysits the clansmen from Bindal and instantly becomes tired of being the caretaker of said headless chickens and idiots. Bolverk keeps on having dreams, and eventually he realizes that he's dreaming about being Bellower- and what's more, Bellower's thoughts, hatreds, and sympathies are subtly influencing Bolverk's psyche. After helping evacuate Bindal, Zefr leads the Ravens and the clansmen of the mining city deep into the secret passages and caverns that constituted a sort of underground highway between significant areas of the world (read: the Deep Roads from Dragon Age). As he travels towards Bindal, a mining city that would serve as his first stop before his river destination, Bolverk begins to experience dreams- visions of seeing 'his' red hands, or of armies of Dredge surrounding him with admiration in their eyes, etc. After much discussion though, Bolverk reluctantly agrees and departs. etc) and leaves the caravan.īefore leaving however, Juno asks Bolverk to renew his previous contract- that of delivering a very large and unmarked wagon to a big river and dumping it there. Bolverk, a sexy Varl be(a)rserker with a bear fetish who also happened to be the leader of the Ravens (a notorious mercenary group), takes his Ravens and a select variety of fighters and badasses (Krumr, the second oldest Varl Hogun, a bloodthirsty viking bastard Bersi, a suspicious cunt etc. After crossing the gigantic chasm via Eyvind's jedi jesus powers (read: levitating rocks), the caravan splits into two. ![]() After several days of travel on the Ormsa river and various challenges to your leadership (ie Rugga, the asshole governor from Boersgard who tries to assert his rule), the caravan encounters a gigantic chasm on the approach to Ormsdalr, a chasm created by a gigantic god-like serpent that has begun to consume the world. The surviving member of the father-daughter duo is in control of the caravan and begins their journey towards the safety of Arberrang, the capital city of the humans whose walls would hopefully save their clansmen from the Dredge. The game begins in Boersgard after either Rook or Alette, depending on your choices, has "slain" the immortal Sundr Bellower while getting themselves killed in the process.
